At midnight, the old curator of Louvre Museum is killed. At the final moment of life, the curator was undressed, unmistakably placed his own body in the shape of Da Vinci's famous painting ""Vitruvian Man"", and lay down on the block floor of the big art gallery, leaving an elusive code beside his body. Semiology expert Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sohie Neveu set about sorting out a pile of weird codes, and find a series of clues hidden in Da Vinci's artistic works. Langdon suddenly realizes that the curator is actually a member of the Priory of Sion -- a mysterious organization founded in 1099, whose members include many great men in Western history, such as Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo and Da Vinci! Langdon suspects that they're looking for a breathtaking historical secret, which is enlightening yet extremely dangerous. Langdon and Neveu begin to fight a battle of wits and courage against a mysterious backstage manipulator. They travel across Paris and London, and are constantly pursued by killers. Unless they can solve this complex mystery, otherwise, that shocking ancient truth covered up by Priory of Sion will be gone forever in the dust of history.
