For each award the book details the number of awards, their frequency and value, details of tenure, subject areas covered by the award, eligibility requirements and how, when and where to apply. The subject index lists the awards by both subject and eligibility. A separate index lists all the agencies and organizations which administer funds, and also gives the names of well-known awards. The appendices list other awarding bodies which may also offer awards and those which have recently stopped giving grants.
