Shipped from UK, please allow 10 to 21 business days for arrival. On the black hill, hardcover, Very Good, signed book, Signed 1st Edition, Cape 1982. 248pp. Flat signed by author to title page. Very good clean tight sound, shaken, firmly held in joints and hinges, no bookplate, front free endpaper with 2 very very pale smudges of foxing and fine ownership inscription with name and address, no further marks of any kind. In bright gilt lettered grey cloth with one vertical crease to gently rubbed spine. Also very good original unclipped colour pictorial dustwrapper, happily in this case without the usual age toning, featuring Mon Mohan's oil painting, 'reproducing a view of the artist's home, Penkerrig, by the late-eighteenth-century Radnorshire painter Thomas Jones'. Signed first Edition of this haunting tale set in the Black Mountains and sold most appropriately here at Richard Booth's bookshop in the famous Hay-on-Wye booktown, in the foothills of the Black Mountains. Reduced due to inscription. A delight for reader and collector alike.
