Shiatahn and Shalud have lived their entire lives in poverty as members of the Guild of Thieves. They joined the Guild of Thieves so that they could survive by stealing the precious Spirit Water they need to live. Life is hard, but simple. Either they get the Spirit Water they need, or they die. One day, their lives are changed forever when they are caught up in a plot formed in the deepest and darkest parts of Underworld over four hundred years ago. Together, they have to trust unlikely friends as they avoid those who want to use them for their own purposes.
